Psalm 19
"19 The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.
2 Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language
Where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their words to the end of the world."
Long before we had the written word of God, He wrote the Gospel story in the night sky. This is NOT astrology but THE REAL STORY as our Heavenly Father Himself wrote it.
Not Astrology!
This beautiful narrative has nothing whatever to do with the devil's counterfeit (astrology). That old liar and his pack of lies is nothing more than yet another of the varied and pathetic attempts to pervert the REAL story: The One told by The One about THE ONE.....JESUS!
I'm certain it goes without saying that Christians have NO business dabbling in horoscopes or astrology! The stars DO NOT rule our lives; The Bright and Morning Star, JESUS, does. AMEN!
In Genesis 15 God addressed Abram and told him that He was his "shield and great reward." He (Jesus) took him (Abram) outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can **count** them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your Seed be.” 6 Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness."
You see, the translation in this passage is, well, a bit "unfortunate," shall we say. The word for "count" is this Hebrew word: "saphar." It means "to count, recount or relate," meaning, " If you can recount or relate or tell the story in the stars, so shall your "descendant be."
Translator Issues.

Jesus is The Seed Who would come from Abraham's own body.

Jesus "recounted," or told, the story in the stars to Abraham, the story of the Champion, the Dragon Slayer, his own descendant, Who would come in the fullness of time. Abram "saw" the irrefutable proof, believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness." He actually believed the very same thing we do: The Gospel Story."
Galatians 3 you can says that Jesus "preached to Abram" the gospel story. He did it by "saphar--recounting" the story in the stars! Awesome!
Galatians 3:5 "Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—6 just as ABRAHAM “BELIEVED GOD, and it was ACCOUNTED TO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS.” 7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, PREACHED THE GOSPEL TO ABRAHAM beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with (along with) believing Abraham."
See? It says God (Jesus) "PREACHED THE GOSPEL" to him. He did by showing him the story written in the night sky.
This same word, "saphar," used here in Genesis 15 is the very same word translated "declare" in Psalm 19 where we read "The heavens "declare: saphar" the glory of God....."
There is a portion of scripture where Abram is told that his descendant"s" (plural) will be as numerous as the stars found in Genesis 22. That passage there is talking about the numbers of his "descendants-plural," referring to nature Israel. Such is not the case in Genesis 15.
Jesus came as a Jew and, although blessing to the whole world did and does come through the Jewish people, Jesus is THE ONE through Whom all those blessings flow.
The REAL Story In The Stars.
So what is the REAL story in the stars? Let's begin, well, at the beginning.
The oldest book of the entire Bible is Job. The first time the Lord speaks to Job directly is in chapter 38 where He mentions the morning stars singing together in vs. 7. Then God asks him in vs. 31-2: 31 “Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades? Can you loosen Orion’s belt? 32 Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons or lead out the Bear with its cubs?"

He is speaking of the constellations: The seven stars of the Pleiades and constellations of Orion and the Bear." The word for constellations in Hebrew is "mazzaroth," which means "zodiac." Again, not astrology. It is the original story as God designed it: To tell the marvelous story of His Son. He blasted the incomparable story of Redemption by our awesome Jesus FROM ONE END OF THE HEAVENS TO THE OTHER!
Why Did the Devil Invent Astrology?
You-know-who (the devil) hates God. He also hates man--believers in particular, because we are made in His image. He hates the gospel story and does everything he can to pervert it.
You see, He knows that man, whom God made in His image, is beloved of God and so valuable to Him as to be beyond price. Now, he cannot strike at God directly so he does the next best thing: He strikes at us. Perverting the gospel story so that man is deceived into not accepting God's provided Lamb, Jesus, sends God’s beloved creation to hell. That hurts God more than we can comprehend!
That's why he perverted the story. He doesn't want us learning the truth, getting saved and spreading the good news to all the world.
This is also why he hates Israel so much because The Dragon Slayer was born as a Jew.
He also figured--ERRONEOUSLY--that he if could pervert the story perhaps he would be able to stop the birth of The Dragon Slayer and stop Him FROM CRUSHING HIS HEAD! Well.....He FAILED!!! UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY!
Reading The Story In The Stars.
The real story doesn't begin with the constellation of Aries the ram as astrology today would have you believe. It begins with the Virgin: Virgo.
Look back sometime into the history of the constellations and you'll find that ancient depictions of this constllation have her sitting down with a small male child on her lap as in the picture above. She also held a stalk of both wheat and corn in one hand. Jesus is that child on her lap. He is the bread of life and the grain of wheat which, when it falls into the earth, it dies, typifying His death which would bring salvation to the world.
Since the story begins with Virgo, then it must end with Leo, the lion!
Matthew, the FIRST book of the New Testament is the FIRST to recount the VIRGIN BIRTH of our Savior. Revelation, the LAST book of the New Testament, is where Jesus is called for the first time "THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH." He is the triumphant King Who crushed the head of the great dragon; our enemy, satan.
HALLELUJAH!!! Jesus is the FIRST and Jesus is the LAST!
What does that tell you? That the story in the stars encompasses the entire New Testament! It is yet another confirmation to His natural family, Israel, that it is the HOLY WORD OF THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB. A Clue To Jesus' Actual Birthday?
The constellation Virgo appears in the month of September, in case you were unaware. Know what Jewish feast is celebrated in September? The Feast of Tabernacles: Sukkot!

How very interesting! John 1:14 it says, "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling--literally "TABERNACLED"-- among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
The word "tabernacle" refers to the physical body. Ours, for example, are temples or "tabernacles" of the Holy Spirit.
Let's now dial back the night sky to the time of Jesus' birth. The feast of tabernacles that year occurred on Sept. 20th. Hmmm......do you think that could be Jesus' real birthdate? I do!
The Day Jesus Died.
Now let's scroll forward to the feast of Passover the year that Jesus died. Care to guess in which month the feast fell?

The Ram!
Jesus was the male Lamb, or Ram, that was sacrificed. Wow!!! Talk about the accuracy of scripture! Everything lines up with God's word, even the stars!
This article is only the tip of the iceberg. There are seven others that relate other parts of this wonderful love letter from our Daddy. The whole story would literally fill volumes! It's actually more like a 3-act play with 48 scenes.
Why are there 12 constellations? For the 12 sons of Jacob. Each tribe in ancient Israel was represented by one of these 12 constellations. The tribe of Levi, for example, was charged with the "balances of the sanctuary," hence "Libra" refers to them. Judah, no surprise, is represented by the lion "Leo," since Jesus, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, cames from that tribe.

This whole subject, understandably, is a little bit touchy for some because the devil's invention has perverted the real story. Many believers are hesitant as a result to learn the truth. Nonetheless, this beautiful, awesome, incomprehensible story is still written there for us to see and to bless us.
Just more confirmation of how much we are loved by God. That’s why He can say "all are without excuse." Everyone knows there is a God, whether they openly admit it or not. He says so.
I write about it because I hate that the Church has been robbed of the blessing this wonderful story brings. It is a love letter from our Daddy, just for us!
Today, of course, we are blessed to have the written word of God. We no longer need to rely on the stars to tell the gospel story. But it is still there, blasted all over the night sky!
And that, Church, is the truth about THE REAL STORY IN THE STARS!
