Speak [דָּבַר] God's Word

Mark 11:23
“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever SAYS to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he SAYS will be done, he will have whatever he SAYS.”

The Bible demonstrates to us over and over again that words have power.  Romans 10:8 declares, "But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your MOUTH (first) and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):

God gives more weight to speaking out His word than to believing.

The most incredible evidence of the power of speaking is, well, EVERYTHING. That's how God created the universe:  By speaking!
Then God made man in His image.  In the Hebrew text of Genesis 2:7 where it says "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a LIVING BEING," it literally says, "man became a SPEAKING SPIRIT."
God thereafter brought every animal to Adam one by one.  He not only gave them all names but the various animals took on the characteristics of the names they were given as he spoke it over each one.  His words had power, too.
You and I are made in the image of God.  We have the power of the spoken word, too.

The word, "Say," is mentioned three times in the opening verse but believe is mentioned only once.  Whenever the Holy Spirit records something three times, you'd better believe that what follows is of critical importance.  1). Whoever SAYS to this mountain.  2). Believes those things that he SAYS.  3). He will have whatever he SAYS

See?  BELIEVE is mentioned only ONCE.  Are you sensing a pattern here?  It's obvious that the emphasis here is on SAYING not believing. Yet how many times do we hear sermons based on this verse and the emphasis is on believing?  Seems to me that God wants a whole lot more speaking.

He further demonstrates this in the Hebrew language itself. The word for speak in Hebrew has a very interesting story to tell.  It is the word "davar."
Here is how it is spelled:  [דָּבַר]

Hebrew reads from right to left and is a language of picture writing, like Chinese.  These pictures are very consistent. Davar is spelled:
ד=dalet: Door
ב=Bet:  House
ר=Resh:  Head
[בר] spell "Bar," which means "son."

How do you open the DOOR (dalet) TO THE SON (bar)?  You SPEAK!

That's why you say, "AMEN!" to God's blessings.  That's why you SPEAK God's word over your situation.  That's why the psalmist wrote, "I will SAY of the LORD, He is my refuge."

Ever feel like you're lost in the wilderness and can't find your way out?  Once again, God hides the secret in the Hebrew letters.  Take any verb in Hebrew, put the letter, "Mem[מ] in front and it becomes a noun.  The word "davar" becomes the word "midbar," which means "wilderness."

The way out of your wilderness (midbar) is to open the door (dalet) to the Son (bar).  How do you open the door to the Son?  You SPEAK--SAY what you want, not what you don't, and keep on SAYING.

But what do we do? We say things like, " I'll believe it when I see it."  That's why you don't see it, because you don't say it.  MAN HAS IT BACKWARDS.
If God had used that principle when the earth was without form and void, darkness everywhere, He would have looked around and said "Wow, so dark!" It would have gotten even darker!
But that's not what he did. That is not the way he operates. He always says what he doesn't see.  He said, "Light be," and it was. At the end of each day, He saw what he had spoken into existence,
THEN He said it was good.

This same principle applies when you take to communion.  You declare:  SPEAK out your Covenant with God every time you "eat" the Lord's supper.  You say "Amen" to His promises.

Just as Adam and Eve ate their way into the curse, eating is the way back.  Eating from the wrong tree in the garden brought about the fall; eating of the Lord's Supper declares our covenant with God which affirms we are not under any curse.  It brings to God's remembrance what His beloved Son did for us.
When you eat of the Lord's body, you literally eat your way back into wholeness, health, blessings, and every good thing that God has for His children.  Because of that covenant, all the promises in the
Bible are yours for the taking.  Never underestimate the power of communion.

Remember the Gentile woman who came to Jesus begging Him to deliver her demon-possessed daughter? He was not willing to grant her request at first saying that the children must first be fed. And she said that even the puppies "eat the crumbs" off the master's table.

Wow!  Church, even a tiny crumb of bread taken in the Lords name can do more than the most powerful medicine man could ever invent.  A tiny crumb sends the devil packing!

Let's read the passage below and see WHY she got her miracle.
“The woman was a Greek, a Syro-Phoenician by birth, and she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter. But Jesus said to her, “Let the children be filled first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” And she answered and said to Him, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs.” Then He said to her, “For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter.” And when she had come to her house, she found the demon gone out, and her daughter lying on the bed.”
Mark 7:26-30
She asked and asked and asked and didn't give up!

How do you appropriate God's blessings in your life?  Use your mouth.  "Speak out" God's word.  All the psychology in the world, all the positive confession, positive mental attitudes, all the so-called human wisdom and theories proposed by men may or may not work.  But one thing is certain:  "GOD'S WORD ALWAYS WORKS."
He doesn't deal in speculation, theories, maybe so or hope so.  His word deals with "know so; verily, verily;  amen, amen; truly, truly.  His word is accurate. God's word works.....PERIOD!"

Genesis 1 : 1 says that " God created the heavens and the earth."  The first words He spoke were "Light be."  He created light before there was anything else, but it was not from the Sun. That was not created until the 4th day.
Scientists actually have discovered that when everything is broken down to it's minutest particle they are photons which is nothing more than light!  How amazing and accurate our Bible is!  LIGHT CREATED EVERYTHING!

When God's SPOKEN word comes into your life, it brings LIGHT!

In many respects, scientists are still dealing with theories and speculations. There are many things that Bible reveals that science has not yet figured out.  There was a time that man thought the moon was larger than the sun because it looks that way. Yet, the Bible said that the sun was the "greater light" and the moon was the "lesser light."  Centuries later, what did man discover?  That what the Bible said was accurate.  It was right all along.  The sun only looked smaller because it was much farther away.

The Bible never plays "catch up."  Rather it is man that is always catching up to The Bible.  Though technically not a book about science, the Bible is, nevertheless, scientifically accurate. The book of Job is proof of that.

It is the oldest book in the Bible.  In it Job it says that "God hangs the earth upon nothing." How could he write such a thing?  He didn’t have the capability to go out into space and look back at the earth, did he?  Of course not...but if he did, he would have seen what our astronauts have seen; that indeed it does look as though the earth is hanging upon nothing. Today, we know that it's gravity, but Job didn't know that.  He simply recorded what God told him.

So, Church, it stands to reason that the more of God's word--LIGHT--you get into your life, into your situation or circumstance, the more you can expect it to create your miracle or your answer.  Every time you go to church, expect that God's word will bring that light of creation into your life.  His word brings life and light into your Spirit, soul, and body; into your relationships, your family, your work and into your entire life. He can even raise to life that which was formerly lifeless.

God has hidden some more wonderful things in His word.  You saw above that word in Hebrew for speak is "davar."  The plural of davar is "devarim."  This is the Hebrew word for the book of Deuteronomy.  It means "Double word," because in Deuteronomy the law is reiterated.   God spoke it twice.

You, Church, can use your speaking to open the door to the Son or to the devil by what you say.   Words have power, so make sure you "davar: speak" God's Word!

Bible Numerics

“Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were FINISHED.  And on the SEVENTH day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.”
Genesis 2:1-3

Numbers play a huge part in the Bible.  Ask anybody if they've heard of the number 666 for instance and most know it has something to do with the end times.  They may even know it is the number of the AntiChrist.  They would be correct.
6 in Bible Numerics is the number of man.  God created man on the 6th day.

He told Adam, "6 days shalt thou labor and do all thy work."  Of course, a "day" to God, Who is not time-confined like us, is as a thousand years. (See 2 Peter 3:8.)  By that reckoning, our lease is almost up!

Jewish rabbis for centuries have been well-acquainted with the meanings of numbers in the Bible.  They call it "Gematria," in Hebrew.

At the wedding in Cana of Galilee Jesus had servants fill 6 earthen vessels with water which He turned into wine.  This depicts you and I, earthen vessels, being filled with the water of the word by God's servants--your pastor or from whosoever you heard the word. Jesus comes along and transforms the water of the word into the wine--anointing us to do His work.  Though we cannot transform ourselves, we can see to it that we fill our vessels with the water of the word.

Goliath is a type of satan the in the Bible as well as a depiction of the AntiChrist.  He was 6 cubits tall, had on 6 pieces of armor and his javelin weighed 600+ shekels.  See the triple 6's?
Just as he is a type of the AntiChrist, so David is prophetic of Christ defeating the devil (Goliath) and Modern Israel in the last days.  He says something very telling to King Saul in 1 Samuel 17:37.

"“Moreover David said, “The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the LION and from the paw of the BEAR.  He will deliver me from the hand of this PHILISTINE”

Before Christ returns to earth in His second coming, Israel will face three enemies:  The Lion, the
Bear and Goliath: The AntiChrist.

During WW2, the British were in control of the land which is today modern Israel.  Many Jewish people attempted to flee from the Nazi persecution at that time by trying to enter Palestine.  They were turned away by the British, many to their deaths.  It was a very sad event and a big mistake by Great Britain as a nation.  In essence, they sentenced God's people to death.

This does not in the least reflect on God's people in Great Britain who are blood-washed, born again believers, mind you.  But because of the mistake their NATION made they subsequently waned as a world power.  From that day on they surrendered colony after colony to the indigenous peoples.
The national symbol of Great Britain is THE LION.

David was next delivered by God from the paw of the BEAR.  What nation does the bear represent?  RUSSIA.  What's been happening in our day and age is we see "The Bear" coming down from the country of the North along with her allies.  They are at the border of Israel just like Ezekiel 38 predicted they would be.  At some point, she and her allies will attack Israel.  God's people will be delivered from the paw of the BEAR and this enemy and all with her will be destroyed on the mountains of Israel.  This will happen very soon.  The stage is set and the players are in motion.

Then we have the number 13. The first time it is mentioned there was a war involving ancient Elam which is located somewhere in the country we today call Iran.  It was five kings against four and it occurred in the 13th year of the reign of the King of Elam, Chedorlaomer.  The Bible says there was a rebellion.  The number 13 means "rebellion."  (See Genesis 14:4).
You and I don't need to be afraid of or superstitious about the number 13.  There is nothing magical or mystical about any number.  If you're planning an event and there is no other date available, it's ok.  Go ahead.  Nothing will happen to you.  Our God always takes care of us no matter what the day or date.  Greater is He Who is in you and I than he that is in the world. AMEN!
We don't need to go around living our lives in fear of the numbers.  Jesus came to set us free, not to put us in bondage.

God, on the other hand, does everything by the numbers, so to speak.  Their primary function is to tell the story of Jesus but they also give us glimpses into the way God thinks.  He does things in patterns.  Very complex patterns, of course, but patterns nonetheless.
Numbers are also there to show us deeper truths, certainly not to make us superstitious. Numerology this ain't!  Biblical numerics unveil Divine truths and serve as sign posts that point to prophetic events both of the Messiah the last days.

The numbers 3, 5 and 7 are the most prevalent.  3, of course, is Abba's favorite number because His Son was raised back to life on the third day after paying for our redemption IN FULL!  It was a great day for all of us!  If anyone is interested in more on the topic of the third day, follow the link below:
We have one God but three persons:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Man is made in His image and we are triparteid:  Body, soul and spirit.  Time is comprised of three parts: Past, present and future.  Matter is three dimensional:  Length, width and height.  I think you get the idea.

5 is the number of Grace.  The 5th time Noah's name was mentioned it says "Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD."  There are many things written about Jesus that contain the number five.  When He was feeding the 5,000, He used 5 loaves and two fish and had them sit in groups of 50.  He did 5 things:  1) He took the loaves and fish, 2) Looked up to heaven, 3) Blessed the bread, 4) Broke the loaves, 5) Gave them to His disciples.
In the story of the Prodigal son, when he came home at last, the father saw (1), the father had compassion (2), the father ran (3), the father embraced him (4), the father kissed him (5).
There are countless examples of how full of Grace are our Father and Our Savior but they are too numerous to recount here.  As you read through the Bible, though, notice not just actual numbers but things like you've just read.  You will be filled with love for Daddy Who loved us SO much that He sent Jesus Who is full of Grace

7 is used more than any other number.  It is the number of perfection or completeness.  From Genesis to Revlation and all over creation, 7 is everywhere. It is like Daddy's fingerprint.  It proves without a doubt that we were created by God, we didn't spring from apes as you'll see in a moment.
On the 7th day Genesis 1 says God "rested" from all His work, not because He was tired, but because it was "complete: finished."  The first time this number is mentioned you find the word "rest"  and the word "perfection" mentioned.

The 7th time Noah's name was mentioned it says that Noah was "perfect in his generations".  The word "perfect" refers to his physical body.  In other words, his body had no trace of demon DNA.  If this is a new concept to you and you'd like more information about the Nephilim, follow the link below:
http://emmausrevelations.blogspot.com/2015/01/as-it-was-in-days-of-noah.html

The very first verse in the entire Bible, Genesis 1:1, is 7 words in Hebrew and there are 28 letters in the sentence.  28 = 7X4:  7 is the number of competition;" 4 is the number of creation."  Is this God's book or what?!

7 is stamped all over creation.  There are 7 colors of the rainbow.  The cycle of the moon is 28 days:  7x4.  Why 7?  Why not 6 or 8?  Because God has stamped His mark on all of creation.  It is proof that none of this is an accident.  The earth didn't just "happen" to be just the right distance away from the sun so as not to either not freeze or burn up.  God placed it here on purpose.  All of the stars, the planets and solar systems move and work in perfect harmony according to His design.

In the final book of the Bible, Revelation, the number 7 is, well, EVERYWHERE.  There are 7 churches, 7 angels and 7 trumpets.  We have 7 vials of judgment, 7 blessings for the believer promised by Jesus, 7 expressions of the Lord Jesus Christ, 7 spirits of God.

Joshua went around Jericho for 7 days.  The first 6 days, they went around once each day.  But on the 7th day they marched around it 7 times.  Then at his command, they all shouted and the walls fell.
Peter came to Jesus one time and asked, "Lord, how often should I forgive my brother?  7 times."  He thought that sounded like a lot, I guess.  But Jesus told him to forgive his brother 70X7.  Just in case you're keeping track of just how much your brother or sister sins against you and you reach the 489th time, if you think that the 490th time is their last chance, you've missed what God is saying.  Yes, 70X7=490.  But in Bible numerics, 70X7 is the number of perfection. He's saying, "Keep on forgiving completely until you are perfect in heaven."  There is no such thing as never forgiving.  If God asks you to perfectly forgive your brother, will He do any less for you?  No!

God's fingerprints are all over us, too. Your body, for instance, works on a cycle of 7.  Every seven years your cells totally renew themselves.  Wanna stay young longer?  Immerse yourself in God's word.  It is life and health to ALL YOUR FLESH according to Proverbs 4:22.

God fills our mouth with good things so that our youth is renewed like the eagle's.  This is a literal, physical renewal.  You see, when an old eagle's feathers become ragged and tattered, he will fly up to a very high, secluded place, pluck out his beak then pluck out his talons when the beak has grown back.  Finally, he will pluck out all his feathers and wait until new ones grow in.  This process takes about 5 months during which the bird is completely helpless.  When it's young, new feathers have grown back, it flies off.  New body but an old mind!  That's what God's word does for us.  He continually renews us with His Word which He puts IN OUR MOUTHS, which means "speak it out!"

You can see God's signature all over our physical bodies.  There are 7 bones in your neck, 7 bones in your head, 7 holes in your head, 7 bones in your ankle. Medical science tells us your heart beats slower one day out of 7 because God has designed you to rest  one day out of 7.  That doesn't mean sitting home doing nothing.  God designed us to rest by having fellowship with other believers and worshipping the Lord.  It's the best kind of rest!

Christian women are called "daughters of Sarah," in 1 Peter 3.  We are not called daughters of Ruth or Naomi or Esther or any other great woman of God because Sarah is the only woman in the Bible to LITERALLY have her youth renewed.  In her nineties a heathen King wanted her for his harem.  He wasn't the kind of man who sensed things "spiritually" and he was not nearsighted, in case you wondered.  No.  He looked on her OUTWARD appearance.  She wasn't an old, shriveled up, way-past-her-expiration-date woman.  Harems are filled with young, beautiful women.  Her youth had literally been renewed so that she could carry her son, Isaac, for nine months.
When women in the body of Christ walk in faith, God will renew their youth like the eagle's!  Hebrews 11 alludes to Sarah's renewal.  In the Greek it says, "...by faith Sarah received "dunamís: strength" to conceive seed."  That strength she received to conceive seed also renewed her physical body.

Speaking of which, a woman carries her baby in cycles of 7.  The gestation period for a human baby is 9 months. That's 40 weeks or 280 days. 280 is 7x40.  A hen carries her young for 21 days--7x3; cats, 56 days--7x8; dogs: 63 days--7x9.  The Lion, 98 days--7x14.  See?  All are cycles of 7.  GOD'S FINGERPRINTS are everywhere!

As for the 7 spirits of God, in Isaiah 11 it says, "“There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the LORD (1) shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom (2) and understanding (3),  The Spirit of counsel (4) and might (5), The Spirit of knowledge (6) and of the fear of the LORD (7).”  Isaiah 11:1-2. These are also mentioned in Revelation.

The central and most important is the Spirit of the LORD:  YAHWEH:  The covenant-keeping One.
Next we have the spirit of wisdom and the spirit of understanding.  These two go hand in hand.  They manifest in us as a word of wisdom or a word of knowledge.  They are the "knowing gifts."' They allow Moms and Dads to parent their children effectively, a pastor to shepherd his Church or a businessman to conduct his affairs well.  God drops into your mind a word of wisdom or knowledge for your particular situation supernaturally.

Then we have the spirit of council and might.  These are the power gifts.  1 Corinthians 12 enumerates them for us:  Gifts of faith, healings and working of miracles.
Finally we have the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.  The fear of the LORD if you study it always has to do with your tongue.  If you fear God, keep your tongue from evil.  That's how the fear of the LORD is manifested.
For more on the topic of keeping your tongue from evil, follow the link below:
http://emmausrevelations.blogspot.com/2014/07/grieve-not-holy-spirit.html

These are the 7 rays of God's Spirit, and God wants us FULL of the Holy Spirit!

Last, but not least, God has divided up all of history into 7's.  From the present to the time of Jesus, 2,000 years have come and gone.  From Jesus to Abraham was a span of 2,000 years, and from Abraham to Adam, another 2,000 years. We are fast approaching the to the time of the 1,000-year rule of our Lord Jesus' on the 7th "day: the 7th thousand-year period" since God created the earth.
Under man's rule these past 6 "days" there has been nothing but distress.  But when Jesus returns to rule this earth there will be nothing but REST.  HALLELUJAH!!!

(Jesus returns with His saints)

This is why Israel and Jerusalem are always in the news.  They are the focal point of all history because, when Jesus returns, He will rule the world with righteousness and justice.  He will not rule from Rome or Paris, London or Washington but His Capitol:  Jerusalem.
Jesus came as a Jew.  He's the One Who slew the dragon, that over-sized snake.  The devil knows that when Jesus returns and sits on the throne of His father, David, at last, this spells his ultimate doom.  That's why he hates Jerusalem, hates the Jews and why he has instigated all his cronies to try and wipe them off the face of the earth.  He's trying to prevent the second coming thinking that he can avert his fate.  Guess he doesn't know he's ALREADY LOST THE WAR.

I hope it has blessed you much as it has me to learn some of the awesome things The Holy Spirit is showing us through Bible Numerics.

What's In Your Water? Part 9 Of 9

What's in your Water?

Exodus 15:23-25  "Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah.  And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”   So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet."

Now, we finally get to the content of the water.

We've been studying the law concerning the ashes of the red heifer and how it pertains to water.  But there are two kinds of water.

According to the Word of God, all of the words preached from the pulpit are not necessarily the "waters that PURIFY AND BRING LIFE."  Some, unfortunately, bring sickness and death, like the waters of Marah.  Marah means "Bitter," in Hebrew.
Just because someone is preaching from the Bible does not mean their words will minister grace to the hearers.  Some minister the condemnation of the law.

If you are not hearing that you are beloved of the Father, that even though you fail, you are the righteousness of God in Christ or that God is displeased or somehow angry with you, your pastor is using the waters that bring a curse, not the water that cleanses and purifies.  He or she is sprinkling you with the waters of Marah that bring the curse.

(Sweetening the waters of Marah.)

Remember Marah?  After they left Egypt, Israel was brought out with signs, wonders and great miracles.  They passed through the Red Sea, a most AWESOME display of God's power, and three days they find they have no water.  They came to a place called "Marah."

This same Hebrew word for bitter is used in the passage in Numbers 5 concerning the law of jealousy which said if a husband became jealous thinking that his wife had been unfaithful to him, he brought her to the priest.  He would write the CURSES OF THE LAW in a book, scrape them into a vessel of water making them "bitter: Marah."  The woman had to drink from it and, if she was guilty, her belly would swell, her thigh would rot and she would be a curse among the people.  (Sounds like cancer, doesn't it?)  But if she was innocent, she would be free of any curse and able to bear children.

What are the BITTER WATERS that bring a curse?  THE LAW. How did the water of Marah become sweet?  God told them to throw in a tree, a picture of the cross!

GOD'S ANSWER IS ALWAYS THE CROSS!!!

As for the water that cleanses, it goes far beyond merely cleansing of moral and spiritual "dust."  Jesus calls us His bride as the verse in Ephesians  says.  At one time "the bride" was all Jewish.  Today it is predominantly non-Jews, (formerly Gentiles).  Remember the story of Joseph?  He married a Gentile bride during his time of rejection in Egypt.

How are we cleansed and made whole?
**THIS IS SOMETHING THE DEVIL DOES NOT WANT YOU TO KNOW.**

WE ARE MADE WHOLE INSIDE AND OUT BY WATER CONTAINING THE ASHES OF THE RED HEIFER!

The words that we speak to each other or preach to the Church must be words that contain no judgment or condemnation.  THEY MUST BE WORDS ABOUT THE FINISHED WORK:  The ashes of the red heifer!!!

If you understand this, you understand what Solomon didn't understand.   Understand?

The devil hates a Church that regularly washes with the water of the word!  He has no answer to them.  You see, evil spirits love dry, dusty places, not well-watered ones.

Jesus illustrates the relationship between Himself and His Church by using the relationship between a husband and wife.  We are cleansed both inside...no spiritual SPOT...and outside...No physical WRINKLE.  Wrinkle is also a sign of old age.  In other words, physically and spiritually whole and healthy.

Remember the red heifer had to be clean inside and no yoke outside?  That is what the water of the word containing the ashes does for us today.  It cleanses our bodies of disease and washes the dust of this life off our feet.  We call it "dust" because God said to the serpent that he would crawl on his belly and eat "dust" all his life. The extent to which you have "DUST" clinging to you is the extent to which you are DEVOURABLE.

So when ol' slimy comes to you and starts talking to you about your sins--your DUNG--remind him that yours have already been judged--BURNED TO ASHES--and you have been declared righteous!  There is no more judgment of any kind for you either in this world or the next.

Sin/sickness both required that the "UNclean" person go through a "cleansing" process. (See my post on the law of leprosy in Leviticus:  http://emmausrevelations.blogspot.com/2015/02/see-jesus-love-for-us-in-book-of.html)
Make sure you wash daily with the water of the word containing the ashes of the red heifer.

 ...and finally, The Cleansing Process.

Numbers 19:18 "A CLEAN PERSON shall take HYSSOP and DIP IT IN THE WATER, SPRINKLE IT on the tent, on all the vessels, on the persons who were there, or on the one who touched a bone, the slain, the dead, or a grave."

The water was applied in the Old Testament sprinkling the unclean person with Hyssop dipped in the water containing the ashes of the red heifer.  Hyssop is the smallest vegetation in Israel; the smallest member of our body, according to scripture, is the tongue.  See James 3:5

So.....take the hyssop:  your tongue, dip it in the water: the words of God containing the ashes of the red heifer--grace-filled words, and sprinkle it liberally over yourself, over your family, over you loved ones and friends.

Do it daily.  Do it often.  Apply liberally.

This is how believers today apply the law concerning the Ashes of the Red Heifer. We must make sure we are not using the "waters of Marah" containing bitterness and condemnation of the law.  It must contain grace-filled words.

If you got through all nine parts, you now know not only something Solomon couldn't figure out but also why he was so baffled.

I hope you now understand, also, why it is of utmost importance that you know beyond a shadow of a doubt, WHAT'S IN YOUR WATER!

What's In Your Water? Part 8 Of 9

2 Corinthians 3:7-11
“But if the ministry of death, WRITTEN AND ENGRAVED ON STONES, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the MINISTRY OF CONDEMNATION had glory, the MINISTRY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS EXCEEDS MUCH MORE IN GLORY. For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.”

We discussed in part 1 that there are 613 laws in all which includes the big Ten.  The only part of all those laws that was "WRITTEN AND ENGRAVED ON STONES" was the ten commandments.
We also discussed in an earlier portion that, though laws are recorded in the book of Leviticus, what puzzled King Solomon was this law about the red heifer is NOT recorded there.

When the devil comes to attack us he uses the law.  Unfortunately, he gets a lot of help from the pulpit however unwitting.  He whispers that you've done this or you haven't done that OR that you didn't do enough of this or enough of that.  It never ends.  He uses the law to try and accuse us and put us under condemnation.  He knows full well that when we feel condemned, guilt comes in, then fear, then stress and, ultimately, death
That's why, in the opening verse, Paul calls the law "the Ministry of death."

Water containing the ashes of the heifer under the Old Testament could only clean a person on the outside, meaning they were only physically healed.  Under the New Covenant we have both inside AND outside cleansing, meaning Jesus heals us inside--morally/spiritually--and outside--physically, making us WHOLE AND HEALTHY.

These words, "spílos and rhytis" refer to both physical AND spiritual spots and wrinkles, meaning we are healed of diseases and infirmities both inside and outside that might come from hearing law-centric teaching or from worries and cares.

In the upper room, when Jesus washed the disciple's feet, Peter, who always felt he had to open his mouth, asked Jesus to wash not only his feet but his head and hands.  Well, hands imply work.  That's why in the Old Testament they washed their hands AND their feet.  But under the new covenant THE WORK IS FINISHED!  No need to wash our hands.  We already HAVE CLEAN HANDS AND A PURE HEART.  His blood took care of that.

The Lord replied to Peter in John 13:6-8 “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this."

Peter replied to Jesus "....You shall never wash my feet!”  Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part WITH ME."

He did not say that Peter would have no part "IN ME," implying salvation, but "WITH ME," implying a walk.

Once you have been CLEANSED by the blood of Jesus, the ONCE-AND-FOR-ALL bath, you are COMPLETELY CLEAN.  You don't ever again need to be bathed in the blood of Jesus. You cannot be born again and again and again. There is no such thing as being bathed and re-bathed and re-bathed in the blood.  Once you have been cleansed by the once-for-all bath, YOU ARE COMPLETELY CLEAN.
YOU ONLY NEED TO WASH YOUR FEET.

You see, as you walk through life, things begin to attach to you like dust:  Worrisome thoughts, doubts, fears; you see things you shouldn't see, you hear things you shouldn't hear.  All these things can begin to cling to you, make feel dirty.  You become defiled in a sense, though you are still completely clean before God.  Since you have already been bathed in the blood of Jesus, you only need to wash the "dust" off your feet with the water of the word.

You are always IN Jesus.  But in order to walk in sync WITH Jesus, you need to wash the dust of the world off your feet. Otherwise you'll be either ahead or behind.  That's why Jesus said, "He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is COMPLETELY CLEAN;”

How do you wash your feet?  As you read the words of this study or listen to anointed preaching (anointed being the OPERATIVE word) or read a grace-based book, Jesus is working through me or the preacher or your book to cleanse you and sanctify you by the WASHING of WATER by the word.

Don't have some religious idea of sanctification.  The word simply means "to make holy; to set apart."  To be set apart means we are separated "FROM "something "UNTO" something else.  For example: You are separated "FROM" sickness "UNTO" health; "FROM" confusion "UNTO" peace; "FROM" poverty, the curse in the world, "UNTO" abundance!"  AMEN!

This is why God's people are peculiar. When the world is stressed, we are at peace. When they're going through a crisis, we are not going through any crisis. When they're lacking we have abundance.

What's In Your Water? Part 7 Of 9

Numbers 19:17-22
"And for an UNCLEAN (PERSON) they shall take some of the ASHES OF THE HEIFER burnt for purification from sin, and running water shall be put on them in a vessel.  A CLEAN PERSON shall take HYSSOP and DIP IT IN THE WATER, SPRINKLE IT on the tent, on all the vessels, on the persons who were there, or on the one who touched a bone, the slain, the dead, or a grave.
The CLEAN PERSON SHALL SPRINKLE THE UNCLEAN on the THIRD DAY and on the SEVENTH DAY; and on the SEVENTH DAY he shall purify himself, wash his clothes, and bathe in water; and at evening he shall be clean.

20 ‘BUT THE MAN WHO IS UNCLEAN AND DOES NOT PURIFY HIMSELF, THAT PERSON SHALL BE CUT OFF FROM AMONG THE ASSEMBLY, because he has defiled the sanctuary of the Lord. The water of purification has not been sprinkled on him; he is unclean. 21 It shall be a perpetual statute for them. He who sprinkles the water of purification shall wash his clothes; and he who touches the water of purification shall be unclean until evening. 22 Whatever the unclean person touches shall be unclean; and the person who touches it shall be unclean until evening.’"

Here we go again with more cryptic phrases.  The ashes of the red heifer has several phrases that are puzzling as you have discovered if you've been following along in this study.  More reasons why Solomon was confused.

What is all this "clean" and "unclean" business?  God says it must be a "clean person" who sprinkles the WATER MIXED WITH ASHES ON THE UNCLEAN PERSON TO PURIFY HIM.  The UNclean cannot clean himself.

Who is this clean person?  One who has been washed by the blood of Jesus!  A saved individual!  Only a clean person can preach the gospel to the unsaved.  IT'S MISSIONS!

But it isn't only about reaching the lost.  The Church needs this water; yes, saved individuals.

NEW COVENANT APPLICATION.
Here's how this law applies to the Church today.

In part 1 we discussed that this law is mentioned in the book of Hebrews.  This is the passage below:
Hebrews 9:11-15
"...Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but WITH HIS OWN BLOOD He entered the Most Holy Place ONCE FOR ALL, having obtained ETERNAL redemption.
For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ASHES OF A HEIFER (see Numbers 19), sprinkling {with water} the UNCLEAN, sanctifies for the PURIFYING OF THE FLESH {Sarx:  flesh, body, human nature, materiality; kindred.}, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, CLEANSE {with water} YOUR CONSCIENCE FROM DEAD WORKS to serve the living God?
"And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the ETERNAL INHERITANCE."

(The Apostle Paul)

The Apostle Paul was given the full-up revelation of the gospel by Jesus Himself.  Hebrews,  which most scholars believe he wrote, is a wealth of resource for interpreting the Old Testament.  It can help us understand the shadows and types hidden there.  Bet Solomon would have loved to have gotten his hands on it!

JESUS IS THE KEY that unlocks ALL mysteries.  Remember the upper room feet washing when they only understood the physical act?  What Paul taught them in Hebrews helped them finally understand the spiritual truth that they did not grasp in the upper room which is "THE WASHING OF WATER BY THE WORD."
The content of the water is key.

In Ephesians 5:25-27 Christ uses the water of the word like this:  "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, THAT HE MIGHT SANCTIFY AND CLEANSE HER WITH THE WASHING OF WATER BY THE WORD..."

Why does Jesus have to cleanse us if we are already clean, washed in the perfect blood of the Lamb?   "...that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, NOT HAVING SPOT {spílos} OR WRINKLE {rhytís} or any such thing, but that she should be HOLY AND WITHOUT BLEMISH."

The word in Greek for spot in this passage is "spílos," meaning an actual stain or spot or, in a figurative sense, a moral or spiritual fault or blemish.  Moral and spiritual stains or spots come from living outside God's preferred-will.  The word for wrinkle is "rhytís" which means "bunched up, contracted; a wrinkle.  What is a wrinkle?  A sign of old age.

This is not only spiritual or moral cleansing but PHYSICAL HEALING as well.  Remember in the passage from Hebrews where Paul said this water "sanctifies for the PURIFYING OF THE FLESH?"  What happens when you fall prey to law-centric teaching?  You come back under the yoke of bondage, condemnation and fear of punishment and death.  The "dust" of such deadly teaching attaches.  YOU NEED TO WASH IT OFF or your wI'll eventually become sick.  Condemnation ultimately kills.....LITERALLY.
