God Is Not The Author Of Disease

Isaiah 53:3-6
"3He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
4 Surely He has borne our GRIEFS*
And carried our SORROWS;*
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace {Shalom} was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all."

God is NOT the Author of disease.  If that is that is a revelation to you because someone told you He allows sickness or diseases to teach you a lesson, you've been lied to.  If you were you taught that healing isn't for today, also not true.  You have been robbed!

Church, our Father is in LOVE with you!  He went to an awful lot of trouble to see to it that EVERY CURSE that resulted from the fall was reversed by Jesus' death on the cross.  By His sacrifice, the price was FULLY paid.  To be fair, His death was an OVERPAYMENT!
That's how valuable you are to Him. He gave up His Son for you and killed Him instead.

Curses Of The Law.

Deuteronomy 28 contains an exhaustive, not to mention frightening, list of every curse, every disease, and every bad thing that could happen.  Anything not specifically named is even covered.  But HALLELUJAH!  He paid for it all.  
None of those diseases are our heritage, Church.  Why?  Because we have a covenant with God.

Not In Complete Control. 

Now, If God were in complete control of this earth there would be no sicknesses, diseases or lack of any kind.  If He was in favor of disease, why would He create your body to heal itself?  If pain and sickness is from Him, why go to the doctor to get rid of it?  That would be wrong.

"Do you mean that God is not in complete control of the earth," you ask?  Yes, it's true.  Sicknesses, infirmities, diseases of all kinds and death passed to all men.  When did that happen?

Way back in the garden, God gave Adam the "keys" to govern the earth.  But what did he do?  One day, he bowed his knee to an outlaw spirit and gave them to him.  If you want to point fingers, point at the deivil, not God.  He didn't bring all this nonsense earth; man did by giving the devil those keys.

The Old Covenant.

Under the Old Covenenat, as if all those diseases, lack and death passing to us that wasn't bad enough, God used to "visit your sins" upon future generations.  That's right:  The penalty of your sins also fell upon your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who had no part whatsoever in your sin!  How terrible to think that something I did would harm those precious little ones.  As a grandmother myself, I cringe at the thought!

The New Covenant.

But Jesus came, died on that cross and REVERSED EVERY CURSE!!!  Aren't you glad?  No longer does He "visit" our sins.  In fact, He remembers our sins, iniquities and lawless deeds NO MORE, according to Hebrews 8.  That also means NO MORE GENERATIONAL CURSE either!
-So, no: Don't think for an instant that God brought all this nonsense of sickness and death to earth.  He's been given a bad rap.  It was man's doing.  This is still a fallen earth because of Adam's sin.

Rainbow Mentality. 

Church, unless you have a rainbow over your head, meaning you understand that you are under grace, not law (judgment), the deivil's tools of sickness , lack, and yes, even death, can lay claim to your earth at any time.  You are fair game for him only because of your own skewed belief...but it was NEVER meant to be your heritage.

No Protection For The Unsaved.
The unsaved, needless to say, have ZERO protection.  He can pick their number out of his hat at any time and torment them at his whim.   
Church, you must understand and use your authority and right standing in Christ as a weapon whenever he tries to attack you.  Believe me, you don't want to be subject to the curses of Deuteronomy 28.

Go To Heaven Faster?

Christians who find themselves in such a predicament are not much better off than the unsaved, except, of course, that when they die, they will be with Jesus.  That's the devil's plan you know:  To get you to go to heaven faster so you'll no longer be of any earthly good.  He cannot do anything about the fact that you're going to heaven but he'll bend over backward to see that you get there quicker.

Jesus Healed ALL Who Came To Him.
When Jesus walked this earth, He healed ALL--not some, not a select few--ALL who were sick or oppressed of the devil everywhere He went.  There is no record that He ever gave anyone a disease to teach them a lesson.  That is fallen man's COMPLETELY FALSE IDEA concocted by people who don't know God's heart.

Sadly, some see Him as judgmental and vindictive, Who allows disease to teach us.  IT IS A LIE STRAIGHT OUT OF THE PIT OF HELL..... and the old liar LOVES IT.  Anyone who teaches such things is doing his work for him.

Secrets In The Hebrew Language.

In the passage above, we have another of those "translator issues."  The word translated as GRIEFS is "choli" in Hebrew.  That's an unfortunate rendering of the word. A more accurate translation would be "sicknesses."  Likewise the word SORROWS, in Hebrew, is "macov," more accurately translated "pains."  This also refers to physical, emotional or mental pains.  It NEVER refers to spiritual healing.

Those who translated this passage obviously didn't believe that healing is for today.  They made it sound as if healing is only spiritual.  Why?
Because physical healing carries with it the "risk" that, if you teach it and people are not healed, people will believe you are preaching falsehood.

How We Limit God.
That's what happens when you gauge the word of God by your understanding and experience.  You are, in effect, limiting God and using your finite mind to define that which is infinite.  That is deifying your head!

It's always better to judge yourself by what the Bible says, not by your experience or by what you can prove.  Does the Bible talk about heaven?  How do we know there is one if we haven't been there and "experienced it?"  Does the Bible talk about the rapture?  How can we prove there's going to be one if we haven't experienced it?  JUDGE YOURSELF BY GOD'S WORD, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

Healing In Every Area.

The word for peace, "Shalom," means much more than simply peace but also completeness, wholeness, health, {physical, mental, emotional} peace, welfare, safety, soundness {physical, mental, emotional} tranquility, prosperity {including financial} perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord.  It comes from the root verb "shalom" meaning to be complete, perfect and full. In modern Hebrew the obviously related word Shelem means to pay for, and Shulam means to be FULLY PAID.  Jesus most definitely FULLY PAID for our complete Shalom.

- So don't tell me that My God, Who gave up His Beloved Son to suffer unimaginable torture for our redemption and complete Shalom, not only from our sins, but OBVIOUSLY, from all sicknesses and diseases, that He makes people sick to teach them a lesson.

ALL HIS JUST JUDGMENT AND RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION was exhausted in the body of His Jesus that day so, NO, sicknesses are NOT judgments from God for our sins.

That doesn't mean there are no human consequences or consequences for your actions, of course, but there is no more judgment from God.  Fortunately for us, Psalm 23 states that "Yea, though 'I' walk through the valley of the shadow..." meaning when "I" get myself in trouble, God will still be merciful.  He will redeem you from trouble, even if it's of your own making.  He SO LOVED US!

JESUS FULLY PROVIDED FOR OUR HEALING.
