You Are A Living Love Letter

2 Corinthians 5:18-19
18 "Now all things are of God who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their {the world's) trespasses to them, and has committed to us {the Church} the word of reconciliation {not judgement}."

Most people you meet in the world have never read the Bible.  And even if they have read it they only have a fuzzy idea of what it says or means.  That's where all of us, you and I Church, come in. As we read it and are transformed by it, that is what they read.  We are God's living love letter to them.

Jesus does not see unsaved people the way we do. He doesn't condemn them.  Oh no!  Far from it.  He sees them as "sheep without a Shepherd."
"And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things. (Mark 6:34 NKJV)

Those lost sheep don't know that God isn't angry with them at all.  They don't know their sins are ALL paid for by Jesus; that the only thing left for them to do is ACCEPT the gift of righteousness offered freely to them.

They need to hear this good news!  They don't know how much God loves them.  They don't know to what lengths Jesus had to go to in order to save them; that we ALL need a Savior; we all need Jesus.
This is the good news they need to hear!

That is why it's so critical that those of us who are believers nerd to keep our focus on Jesus, NOT on sinners, so that we can be transformed into His image.  They will be able to see that Image because Jesus said we will "BE" witnesses, not go and "DO" witnessing.

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall BE WITNESSES to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 NKJV)

Being is not "doing."  As we abide in Him, He abides in us and we BEcome a living testament!

BUT.....
SALVATION IS NOT AUTOMATIC.  They have to ask for and receive the gift FREELY OFFERED to them.

Back when Jesus walked on earth, sinners were ATTRACTED to Him in droves. So, the more like Him we are, the more we are transformed by "beholding Him," the more attracted to Jesus people with whom we interact will be.  Simple!

You see, since Jesus cannot be here in the flesh, we're it.  Now, please don't go looking at yourself in the mirror and get all discouraged by what your natural eyes see. Instead, continually behold your reflection in the mirror of the Word of God. See yourself the way The Father does:  Forever pure, righteous and precious, engraved on Jesus' heart!

So, Church, keep on beholding Jesus because, to everyone you meet, you are a living love letter!
