Perseus, The Breaker: Mazzaroth Series Part 28

Micah 2:12-13
“I will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob,
I will surely gather the remnant of Israel;
I will put them together like sheep of the fold,
Like a flock in the midst of their pasture;
They shall make a loud noise because of so many people.
The one who breaks open will come up before them;
They will break out,

Pass through the gate,
And go out by it;
Their king will pass before them,
With the Lord at their head.”

Perseus is a magnificent figure in the skies!  He stands with sword raised high in his right hand, wings on his feet, and helmet on his head.  He holds in his left hand the severed head of a great enemy: Medusa.
The wings indicate he is coming swiftly, with supernatural speed.  The reason for his haste is  to rescue the woman in chains.  As with all of the other pictures of God’s Champion in the skies, one foot is raised as though injured.
But I see something else about which I’ve never heard anything spoken.  I’m sure most have heard of the Perseid meteor shower.  Curiously, they emanate from this constellation in the area of the tip of his sword.  Literally, shooting stars fan out in all directions.  Are they perchance a picture of “Missles” that fly in all directions as if to destroy every enemy from every directions?  It seems so.  Kinda sounds like Star Wars!  Well after all, this whole story in the stars is about The Great War:  The greatest of all time, in fact!
Pictures Of Jesus.
There is no doubt that the scriptures describe Jesus as “The Breaker.”  He is the One Who comes in power and glory and gets the victory over all His enemies.  He breaks down every barrier set against His kingdom and His people and sets the captives free.  He opens prison doors and frees those who were bound, just as it says of Him in Isaiah 61:
6D1195C9-A2F7-43A3-A6F6-D837027E6C6F
“1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2a To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,”
When Jesus returns to rule the world from His capitol, Jerusalem, He will set everything right.  You will either with Him or against Him and I assure you:  Against Him doesn’t end well.  Look at the scripture below from Psalm 2:6-9
“Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.”
“I will declare the decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”

Ancient Names For The Sign.
Consistent with our earlier description, the ancient names go right along with the theme of our Champion as “The Breaker.”  In Hebrew he was called, “Perets:  The Breaker.”  The Greek name, “Perseus,” carries the same meaning.
This time around we have a name from an ancient people we haven’t heard from:  The Persians.  They called him, “Bershaush,” which means the exact same thing as the names above.

Ancient Names Of The Stars.
Beginning again with the brightest star, located at his waist, we have “Mirfak.”  This Hebrew name means “He Who helps.”  Down in his left foot is another Hebrew-named star:  “Athik: He Who Breaks.”  It is second in order of magnitude.
In his uplifted right arm is a star named, “Al Genib,” which comes to us from the Ancient Arabs.  It means, “He Who Carries Away.”
So the stars tell us of the Breaker who will come quickly to carry away His possession.  He is the One Who helps and Who also promises to send another helper.

The Severed Head Of The Enemy.
Perseus, The Breaker, is carrying in his left hand the severed head of a great enemy:  Medusa.  The Hebrew-named star located in the middle of her forehead is “Rosh satan,” which means “Head of the devil!”  I guess that leaves no doubt who this great enemy is:  The devil himself.
Scripture corroborates this fact in Genesis 3:15 below:
“And I will put enmity
Between you (the serpent) and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”
Medusa’s hair is a bunch of writhing serpents.  What happens to people when they look into her eyes?  They turn to stone.  How does the accuser, the devil, attack us?  By accusing us of breaking God’s law that was written on tablets of stone.  Any questions why the Seed, Jesus, of the woman, Eve, crushed his head?

There are many pictures in scripture of what Jesus would do:  David and Goliath, for one.  David cut off Goliath’s head.  Remember when the Philistines “Captured” the Ark of the Covenant and set it in the temple of their god, “Dagon?” Three days in a row his statue was face down in front of the Ark.  The third day HIS HEAD AND HANDS WERE SEPARATED FROM HIS BODY!  Head speaks of intelligence; hands speak of power.
Other cultures had names for the head that further enhance the story.  The Arabs called it, “Al Oneh: The subdued or weakened.”  They also had another very enlightening name for it:  “Al Ghoul: The evil spirit.”

(Algol, the variable star.)
Variable Star.
In this constellation as in Cetus we have another variable star.  “Rosh satan” does the same thing that “Mira” in Cetus does.  It also is the second brightest star, as lucifer was “second fiddle,” so to speak,  The ancient Arabs called it, “Algol,” which means “Coming and going,” as in “Rolling around,” as in the severed head of satan rolling around on the ground.
As for its variableness, it changes from second to fourth in magnitude (pictured above) in about 3 1/2 hours, which is really fast for a star.  Sounds like the devil, doesn’t it?:  Inconsistent, always changing his tune to suit his agenda, even disappearing altogether as if to attack by stealth.  Sometimes he appears as an angel of light; sometimes he goes about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.
Oh yeah:  The story in the stars is ALL about our Lord Jesus and what He did!…..And it was written in the night sky LONG BEFORE man arrived on the scene!  Amazing!

The Denderah.
Last of all, let’s look at the most ancient planisphere of Denderah, Egypt.  They saw this constellation as a human figure with a tail wearing a crown on his head, signifying “This One comes.”  Their name for him was, “Kar Knem.”  “Kar” means, “Who Fights,” and “Knem” means “The bruised or trodden upon.”  We learned of this when we studied Cetus, which means, “The Bruised or Trodden Upon.”
So basically, Perseus is the One Who comes to bruise and tread upon Cetus.  The head of Medusa a depicted by the Greeks is probably more accurately called the head of Cetus.  After all, he is really a picture of the devil.
In any case, our Jesus fought our great enemy, satan, cut off his head, bruised His heel in the process, but won for us our freedom from sin, death, and eternal punishment.  HALLELUJAH!!!

Please follow the link below to Part 28.  We’ll begin Act 3 of this 3-act play in t he heavens by discussing the major constellation, Taurus: The Bull!
