2 Corinthians 1:20
"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us."
"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us."
They say picture is worth a thousand words. I wonder if that's why every Hebrew letter, {there are 22 of them} is a "picture" of something. As you probably already know, it reads from right to left, like Chinese.
Below is the word in Hebrew for amen:
[אמן]-
[א] Aleph--Ox/sacrifice
[מ] Mem--water flowing/spirit
[ן] Nun--fish/believer
[אמן]-
[א] Aleph--Ox/sacrifice
[מ] Mem--water flowing/spirit
[ן] Nun--fish/believer
The word pictures tell us a story and give us a window on God's perspective which we would never see it in any definition.
There are three parts that make up the word, Amen: Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross, the Holy Spirit and the believer. It isn't Amen without these three elements!
"The power of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross + the help of the Holy Spirit + the Believer = AMEN!!!
Now, add the letter hei- [ה], which means "grace," at the end (the far left) and it becomes this word:
[אמונה]
êmunah-Faith!
[אמונה]
êmunah-Faith!
When you say "amen" to Grace, it becomes "FAITH!!!"
...and Who is Grace?
JESUS!
JESUS!
AMEN TO GRACE!!!!!
